To say that the month of October is a huge month for the POS is an understatement. It marks one year since we’ve been away from our church home, when we began renovations. While our rented facility in Earlwood has had many challenges, yet God has been very good to us. We have experienced incredible services that has seen many new souls come to repentance and receiving the Holy Spirit, countless others touched, healed, delivered, encouraged and revived. In addition we have had 75 baptisms in that time.
In saying that, we are excited to go back to our Home church which feels like a brand new building. Praise God! We are grateful for such wonderful facilities but let us remember it is what happens in the building that is most important, and that is; the communion between God and His people. While we move into more comfortable surroundings, let us not get complacent with our dedication and worship. Instead, let us utilize our return home to signal a launch into a greater commitment of faith and service unto Jesus.
With Turning Point Conference beginning on Thursday, 23 October, there is a build up of excitement. We are excited, not because we are putting on a special event, but because the Church is acting by faith to see the Lord exalted in our midst. We want to fulfill His great calling to seek and to save the lost.
Finally, let this upgrade of God’s House mirror the diligence and excellence we, as God’s people, display in our service to our King. Let us put our best foot forward in loving God and loving people and make this Church what THE Church ought to be, God and His people.
